Usually divided into two parts by residents: North and South. The North is not 'ghetto', and the South is not the 'extremely rich, plush side.' I live in Aliso Viejo (South county), where the average income is somewhere around 80,000. There are places like Coto de Caza where the annoying CEOs live, but a majority of people living in Orange County don't have that much money..it all goes to their rent or mortgage, so even if they have a higher level job, once they pay the bills there isn't much left (an example of which I can attest wholeheartedly to). Orange County is a bubble, once you look past the gangs in both counties, as a great deal of it is master-planned and gives you the feeling of never stepping into reality.

Annoying idiot: Omg, in Orange County, North is so ghetto and South is so full of richies\! North person: ..No. How can it be ghetto when it still costs so much to live here? What, is it 'the ghetto life of a car designer'? South person: I don't think so. South county isn't just comrpised of the used-to-be-artsy, now-super-expensive Laguna Beach or Coto de Caza. There are other communities with people who go paycheck to paycheck because of the cost of rent. Annoying idiot: OH WHATEVER. You're just bitter because you don't live in Newport with Ryan and Marissa\!

I lived in South County, in Coto de Caza when people were nicer; now the tacky drunk rich kids are there, so we've moved north to Copa de Oro.

It's way better then some house in chicago hights with no neighbors for miles. It's orange county not the OC.

Its most popular citys are : Anaheim, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Fullerton Westminister, and Fountain Valley. The citys listed above are considered the more edgy, raw areas of OC. Its populated by Whites, Blacks, Asians, and Mexicans. There are alot of Hypsters, Gangsters, Low Lifes, Deadbeats, and Junkies. In these citys you can find alot of good food for cheap. All though Orange County has the reputation to be wealthy don't let the North Side deceive you, its nothing like the southside. Stay on mainstreets, don't go down side streets or allies, you will get robbed. Life styles of North OC : Graffiti/Street Art Party/Beer/Marijuana Mexican Food. Skateboard/Surfboard communitys. Many young teens in NOC will band together and live on the traintracks, abandon buildings in industrial areas, unless they are in a gang, then they support eachother. Most Adults dont make ends meat, they become homeless. North Orange County is rough because its population is to high and the amount of employment is low. NOC is much less wealthy than West Los Angeles. Apartments in Anaheim or Santa Ana that or 4 bdr can go from anywhere to 400-1200 a month. A NORTH SIDER WILL GIVE U THEIR LAST HOT CHEETO. SOUTH ORANGE COUNTY- South OC is the definition of a bubble. It is not diverse at all. A SOUTH SIDER DOESNT EVEN EAT HOT CHEETOS.

Orange County is an extremely diverse, yet segregrated county. You'll find large groups of all races, just in different spots of OC. Usually split into two parts, north and south. North is usually considered the more "ghetto" and poorer part, while the South is richer and more plush. This is generally true. Some of the anomilies, however include: -Yorba Linda: This city, unlike much of its North OC companions, is not a minority majority. There is lots of old money and blue bloods, beautiful homes and was rated by CNN as the 11th best place to live in USA. -Fullerton: About 80% Asian, with 90% of those Asians being Korean. The city is also fairly wealthy, but is suffering from urbanization and white flight, so it is going down the tubes pretty quick. -Villa Park: Another place with lots of old money, similar to Yorba Linda with slightly cheaper housing. -Brea: There are parts of it which seem like an extension of Yorba Linda, and parts of it which seem like an extension of Fullerton, both nearby cities. -Irvine: This central-south\orange\ countyish city is the biggest bubble on the planet. Split in terms of ethnicity, about 45/45 Asian/White, with other ethnic groups making up the rest. It is like a government experiment gone wrong. Homes, streets, signals, business places, parks, EVERYTHING was preplanned. The result? Homes with no backyards, where you can reach out your window and shake your neighbors hand, streets where you must go past your original destination 4 miles to make a simple u-turn, etc. The school system, however, is rated to be excellent, which is why so many Asian people flocked there. The rest of OC basically falls into the South - rich, North - poor.

The Orange County you see on TV is completely not true. Nowhere in OC do you find only spoiled rich snobby white kids.

A very strange place. you've got your poor parts (Santa Ana, Garden Grove, some of Orange and Fullerton) and you've got your rich parts (virtually all of south county). Very wide income gap between the two. You got beaches, million dollar houses, poor parts, projects, and everything in between. Im from Santa Ana, and all the white people who left in the 60's are coming back, not to live here, but to shop, it's strange. Much of Orange County is populated by yuppy ass white people, (the only exception would be here, but now even mexican girls are rockin that bullshit ass cracka apparel).

Santa Ana is a prime example of Orange County's darker side. You've got fundamental schools the government put in to push the slacker kids around here, but it dosent do any good. Soon it will be all crackers and asians after all the raza moves to riverside.

Orange County, in [California], is a bit of a mixing bowl for the [upper-middle-class] to even lower, but majority is rich. Usually called a beach community because you either live by the beach or the beach is at most a half hour drive away. There are many aspects to Orange County based on town, here are some: [Irvine] - Economically diverse, minority majority, the biggest bubble you can find in the United States. The only people we have here that are "[hard core]" are [wangsters] who can't rap. Oh and half of the [wangsters] are Asian, not African-American. Orange - Less wealthy, very dreary and very WASTED area. There are tons of druggies and garage bands thrive here. White majority, unlike Irvine, but not racist. BEACH cities - Such a large category that it's melded into one. Generally full of spoiled, rich, white [racists]. Lots of [booze]. 'Course that's just a generalization so it can't be THAT bad, can it? Oh. And there are no freakin' oranges here. I live in [Irvine] and I've only seen a small area of orange trees near my house. The other place where there are orange trees is near a college but it's a really small amount. What kind of fruit do we have the most of? Strawberries.

Home to quite a few celebrities Wesley Snipes Tiger Woods Dwight Howard Delta Burke Joey Fatone A majority of people who live in Orange County live in Orlando and contrary to popular opinion OC is NOT a crime infested rathole. Orange County residents who dont live in Orlando live in places like Winter Park, Maitland, Eatonville, Apopka, Ocoee, Winter Garden, Windermere, Belle Isle, or Christmas. The rich can be found in Winter Park, Maitland, Windermere and Belle Isle. The poor can usually be found all over Orange County (they all ride the Lynx bus all day cause they have nothing better to do) Also home to some of the coolest people you will ever meet, extremely diverse and not segregated And unlike Orange County, CA it is cheap to live here. Plus traffic isnt nearly as bad. We're also way better then our southern neighbor Osceola County which is full of inbred rednecks and wannabe gangster puerto ricans. We have an endless amount of things to do besides theme parks (Awesome malls, downtown nightclubs, art museums, theater, the Orlando Magic) Most of Orange County's shrinking white population live in Winter Park, Hunters Creek, Dr Phillips, or Windermere, any rich neighborhood in Orange County is mostly white. Pine Hills, Parramore, Washington Shores, Rosemont, and Oak Ridge are all crime infested. I-4 is not as bad as people say, though it can be when there is a car accident. We also have one of the best school districts in the state of Florida The only downside to Orange County, Florida is all the tolls on the other expressways.

Orange County, CA is misunderstood by most of the public. North OC is the less refined area including such places as Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Stanton, Brea, Anaheim, Orange, and Yorba Linda. The minority population in this region of Orange County is greater than almost anywhere in the nation. Southern Coastal orange county is home to many CEO's, professional athletes, movie stars, and some good old fashioned oil money. Areas not included are newport coast (new money central) and inland south orange county (Coto de Caza, Mission Viejo, Santa Margarita-These are very average places to live, not nice like the coast) Villa Park, Cowan Heights, Orange Park Acres, Copa de Oro, North Tustin, and Anaheim Hills are the reasonable decent places to live in north OC, but the average property value in all of these places is less than 1/3 of Newport Beach's 1.7 million. These places are all at least 30 minutes from the coast and 15 to 25 degrees hotter during the day than Newport Beach in the summer time. There is also a lot of smog and traffic in these areas, while south OC residents enjoy private toll roads with little traffic and almost no trace of smog near the coast. The average reported income me be higher for two reasons: a. There is a high rate of tax fraud in newport, b. there are many surf bums living on the peninsula sharing rentals who do not make very much money. Most south OC residents consider North OC to be an extension of nearby riverside county.

Wow look at all of this smog and mexicans, are we in riveride? No, it's just Orange. Eeeew, north OC is dirty.
